Making The Transparent Corset Ready For The First Fitting With Your Client (Part 1 + 2)

Making a corset is all about giving your client the shape and structure that she dreams of. With that being said, making it perfect for the first fit will cost you a lot of time and money.

You’ll have at least 2 initial fittings with your client before you are 100% satisfied with the fitting and are ready to finish the corset.

At this point, you will have cut the fabrics and scheduled the first fit with your client. It is time to utilize the secret techniques and tips that you will learn to make your corset ready for your first fit. There is so much that you need to know about this process.

Once the corset pieces are cut and ready to be stitched, Jehan will show you the exact couture way of sewing all the pieces together.

Then, we will get this corset ready for your client’s fitting! Step by step: ironing seams, inserting bust cups, underwire and bust cup lining, attaching a grosgrain belt and hook & eye, and so much more.

CHAPTER 12

Everything About Corset Boning – The Secret Guide

If you have often felt unsure of what boning to use, or what it is for, after completing this course you will know everything you’ll ever need to know: the different types of corset boning, what the best technique is to prepare and cut them (without difficulty), and how to sew EACH one of them.

ALSO, how to prevent the boning from scratching the fabric or hurting your client while she is wearing it. Moreover, you will find out the secret boning, which will give the ideal body shape, move perfectly and fluently with the body, and last forever!
